- It does not matter whether the owner themself paid for the license or entered their data during registration. Payment is not a prerequisite that ensures the legality of ownership: according to Articles 313, 430 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, a third party can pay for a license. Under these articles the owner is not required to enter their personal information themself during registration. This also does not affect the owner's legal status (except for children under the age of 14).

When contacting the technical support service to change the license ownership data, the heir must present Doctor Web with a notarised certificate of inheritance from the place of the inheritance’s release (Articles 1112 and 1162 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).
- Transferring licenses between legal entities.
The transfer of Dr.Web software usage rights (a Dr.Web license) from one legal entity to another legal entity is possible only in the following cases:
- Reorganisation of the legal entity that intends to transfer a license when the entity is involved in a merger, takeover, separation, spin-off or restructuring.
In a merger of legal entities, the rights and liabilities (including Dr.Web licenses) of each party are transferred to the newly established legal entity in accordance with the certificate of merger.
In a takeover of a legal entity by another legal entity, the latter obtains the rights and obligations (including Dr.Web licenses) of the acquired legal entity in accordance with the takeover certificate.
In a division of a legal entity, the rights and obligations (including Dr.Web licenses) of the divided party are transferred to the newly established legal entities in accordance with the separation balance sheet.
When a legal entity or legal entities spin off from another legal entity, each of them acquires the rights and obligations (including Dr.Web licenses) of the reorganised entity in accordance with the separation balance sheet.
If the company type is changed , the newly established legal entity acquires the rights and obligations (including Dr.Web licenses) of the reorganised legal entity in accordance with the corresponding certificate issued with regard to the change.
Balance sheets and certificates related to any type of reorganisation listed above must contain a provision on the succession of all the obligations (including the rights to use the Dr.Web software—Dr.Web licenses) of the reorganised legal entity with respect to all of its creditors and debtors. - The legal entity transferring the non-exclusive right to use the Software has written consent from Doctor Web Ltd. to distribute the non-exclusive rights to use the Software by entering into sublicense agreements.
In all other cases, Dr.Web licenses cannot be transferred between legal entities.
In the event a legal entity is reorganised by merger, takeover, division, spin-off or a change in company type, the former owner of the license will not be able to keep using the license since licenses are transferred under the corresponding certificate or balance sheet.

Attach to your request:
- a scanned copy of the letter signed by the CEO of the company 'NAME 2' regarding the reorganisation and transfer of the Dr.Web non-exclusive license from the company 'NAME 1' to the company 'NAME 2' by universal succession;
- scanned copies of documents confirming the reorganisation of the company 'NAME 1' and the fact that the Dr.Web non-exclusive license has been transferred from the company 'NAME 1' to the company 'NAME 2' by universal succession, namely: the certificate of entry in the Uniform State Register of Legal Entities, the transfer act, and the balance sheet (if applicable).
- Reorganisation of the legal entity that intends to transfer a license when the entity is involved in a merger, takeover, separation, spin-off or restructuring.
