If you are a OneNote user, you may have noticed that after installing Microsoft Office 2019 or Office 365 on your Windows 10 your OneNote desktop application is missing. That’s because OneNote 2016 was the last desktop version of OneNote that Microsoft offers. Office 2019 does not include OneNote. OneNote Microsoft Store App. OneNote for Windows 10 will be the default OneNote experience. If you're deploying Office 2019, OneNote for Windows 10 will be the default OneNote experience. These changes also apply to Office 365 Business, which is the version of Office that comes with some Office 365 plans, such as Business Premium. When you work in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 buttons or OneNote 2010 buttons may be missing as follows: When you work in an e-mail item, the Send to OneNote button is missing. When you work in a calendar item or in a task item, the Notes About This Item or the Linked Meeting Notes button is missing. Sign in to your Microsoft account using Edge, Firefox, or Chrome. Go to Home Dictate (the button that looks like a microphone) while signed in to your Microsoft account on a mic-enabled device. Wait for the Dictate button to turn on and start listening. Start speaking to see text appear on the screen.
OneNote menubar is missing after installing Office 2019 or Office 365
The Problem:
Download photos from icloud to mac. The menubar in OneNote prior to version 2019 looks more like this (version 2010 below):
File, Home, Insert, Share etc on the menubar. Logical right. Notebooks are on the left side, Sections (tabs) are at the top, and Pages Adobe cs5 free trial download mac. are on the far right. A clean simple layout.
And this is what it looks like after installing the new 2019 version of Office or Office 365 in a Windows 10 environment. Microsoft felt the need to remove this logical layout, and replace it with the APP design which looks like this:
Note the Menubar only shows Home, Insert, Draw and View. This is OneNote APP version that is preinstalled in Windows 10, as opposed to the Desktop Version. Also the Notebooks, Sections, and pages all fly out from the left, see below:
The Cause:
Apparently, if you HAD OneNote 2016 and Office 365 upgraded you to version 2019 automatically, OneNote 2016 stayed untouched. HOWEVER, when you install 2019 FRESH it comes with the ‘new and improved’ APP variation of OneNote which comes free with Windows 10.
At any point, you can install OneNote 2016 for free – but it has to be downloaded and installed separately. Not sure what the logic was here, but the APP version is not nearly as user friendly as the familiar desktop version.
The Fix:
OneNote 2021 v2103 is actually generated using OneNote v2103 in Microsoft 365 until 2021 march , repackaged, and changed the year number.There are new features compared to OneNote 2016, as well as removals.
Overall, little has changed.

In “Insert” tab, add new group “Media” , add new “Online Video” feature.This feature copies the video link from the specified video website and pastes it in to display the video directly on the OneNote page.
Check Accessibility
In “Review” tab, add new group “Accessibility”, add “Check Accessibility” feature.Help Tab

New Features in OneNote Options Window
Add Black Theme, Remove Office Background
In General tab:- Office theme, add “Black” theme.
- Delete Office background.
Sync Tab
Include 2 items:- Sync notebooks automatically.
- Download all files and images.
Remove Help Language in Language Tab
Local help documents may no longer be available, and all help language settings are removed.

Add an option for pen in advance tab:- Show Tablet PC Input Panel on OneNote pages.
Missing Feed Feature
OneNote 2021 v2103 does not have Feed feature.
OneNote v2103 in Microsoft 365 for the same period has a Feed feature.
